Jaipur, the ‘pink city of India’ is known for its royalty and wonderful monuments. Not to forget you can drive your bohemian vibes from this city too! Jaipur has lots of shopping destinations of which you can read about on the internet. Apart from having monuments this place is a shopper’s paradise. We have listed down 5 items that you must shop if you are in Jaipur. You simply can’t resist buying these items. Here we have listed 5 things to shop in Jaipur, India.
1. Leheriya/Bandhej/Kota Doria Cotton Saree:
Jaipur is very colorful and is known for its royalty. The rich culture pretty well reflects in the colorful leheriya sarees. I am sure you can find leheriya print in your or your mother’s wardrobe. If you already have one then you can opt for bandhej or kota doria cotton sarees. They are the specialty of Rajasthan. I picked 2 kota doria cotton saree for my mom from Rajasthan handloom.
2. Kolhapuri Chappal:
Kolhapuri’s originated from Maharastra and are available throughout. You can Kolhapuris with a rajasthani touch in the local markets here. They are superb in terms of quality and price to what we get here in Delhi. I picked these for Rs.150 after bargaining from Pandey market near Hawa Mahal.
3. German Silver Jewelry:
You can get silver jewelry at Paharganj, Delhi too but why not pick it straight from the artisans. I picked these beautiful kadas for Rs. 800 and they came with a warranty card.
You can pick interesting handicraft pieces like a wooden box, jewelry box, handcrafted marble pieces etc or keychains like this:
5. Block Print Fabrics:
Block printing is famous in Jaipur. You can find block printed kurtis, bed sheets, cushion cover or even plain fabric at local markets. One can pick block printed fabric and later get it stitched as per the need. You can see one getting printed here:
I saw this packet of Whisper Ultra Soft 2x Softer in a departmental store and I thought of trying this out. The line “2x softer” drew my attention. I am one of those who is sensitive to synthetic covers, I prefer to use cotton base pads.
Whisper ultra (green one) has synthetic cover and that doesn’t suit me, so from long time I have been buying StayFree. Being a brand loyal I was a bit hesitant in putting money on a sensitive product. To put my experience into one line, I would be saying new Whisper Ultra Soft 2x is a fragrant cotton cover pad which has absorption power of 2-3 hours and it is softer(It varies person to person).
Here’s how the packaging of Whisper Ultra Soft 2x looks like. Pink color is really appealing to the eye and it equally does justice with the “softness” aspect. This pad is softer compared to other Whisper Ultra variants.

Most of you already know that I traveled to Jaipur (by Instagram and Facebook post) on my birthday. This blog is on the looks that I have created in Jaipur. Like always I have kept few basics which can be mix and matched to bring out multiple variations. As Jaipur is comparatively hotter than Delhi so I have kept very light woolens and light color clothes. A small tip here: always plan your look beforehand; it saves so much time and space. I have created five looks here and featured this look book. So, without wasting any time let’s start with my 1st look.
Look No. 1:
Because it was hot during the day time so I decided to wear this chikan with dark blue denim. To pep up this look I am carrying this orange sling bag and metallic sandals. For jewelry, I am wearing my watch, silver earrings and bangles (which I bought from Jaipur). This look is really simple to create and it lets you breathe at this temperature while being classy.Denim: Levi’s / Kurta: Melange / Sling Bag: Caprese / Footwear: Lifestyle / Shades : Forever21 / Jewellery : Earrings (CP) and Bangles (Jaipur).
Look No. 2:
We decided to go out in the evening and to protect from chills, I wore denim jacket over white top. This one is pretty basic and muted. I broke the monotony using bright lipstick to which these images are not doing justice. Carried my stuff in the brown tote and wore same jewelry and watch.Top: H&M / Denim: Levi’s / Denim Jacket: Top Shop / Footwear: Bata / Tote Bag : Allen Solly / Jewellery : Watch (Titan) and Earring (Pantaloons)
Look No. 3:
We decided to cover 2 – 3 forts in a day so I thought of going for comfort footwear. I kept this entire look keeping my sports shoes in mind. I opted for plaid shirt and jeans and carried denim jacket to protect from chilly wind.White Shirt: H&M / Denim: Levi’s / Denim Jacket: Top Shop / Footwear: Puma / Shades: Forever21
Look No. 4:
This one is of birthday where I went out for dinner with my friends. After walking a lot around the forts I was tired and I didn’t take any efforts towards this one. Here’s the complete minimal look of mine. I have also paired this spaghetti top with black palazzo in my Lansdowne look-book.White Spaghetti Top: Top Shop / Denim: Levi’s / Black Blazer: Forever21 / Footwear: Westside / Sling Bag: Caprese / Jewellery: Watch (titan) and Earring (Big Bazaar)
Look No. 5:
