My 5 Winter Hair Care Tips for Healthy Hair & Scalp

Now that winter is here and you already know how Delhi winters are. Winter months can put your hair and scalp under a lot of stress. My hair starts becoming weak and becomes more susceptible to damage and breakage, I am sure this must be the case with all of us. It becomes very important for us to take care of our skin as well as hair. Here are five hair care tips which I follow and will also help you to maintain healthy and beautiful hair this season.

1. Keep your hair and scalp hydrated:wash your hair regularly

Go for deep conditioning once a week. Use coconut oil or any hair oil which suits you to massage your scalp and leave it on for  2-3 hours or overnight as time permits. There are also ready-made hair masques available in the market, you can try that too. If you’re dehydrated on the inside, it will show on the outside too so make sure you

Go for good shampoo and conditioner which doesn’t dry out your scalp. You can try using  anti-hair fall shampoos like Hair for Sure , Pantene etc. to prevent hair fall in winters. Drink plenty of water to help keep your hair and scalp hydrated.

2. Protect your hair from the elements:beanie for winter

Cold, wet winter weather can take its toll on your hair.  Cover your head with a scarf or wear a beanie to protect. To protect from static, which is caused by rubbing plastic or wool against your hair, it is advisable to cover your hair in a silk scarf before putting on your cozy beanie or cap.

3. Avoid over-styling your hair :

Limit the use of hair styling tools like straighteners , curling iron and hair dryers.  Heat can dry out your hair and scalp, increasing the risk of damage. Apply heat protectants before you style your hair and invest in good hair mask which can repair your damaged hair due to heat.

4. Wash your hair in warm or cool water :

You might be tempted to use hot water looking at the chill, but try to avoid washing your hair in very hot water.  It damages your scalp and hair, and leads to dandruff. Hot water destroys the moisture and texture of your hair, it takes away the natural oil.  It is recommended to use  warm or cool water to avoid damage and also  you can keep washing your hair to a minimum, say two times a week, this will prevent your hair from drying out too much.

5. Trim your hair regularly:winter hair trim

Just because it’s winter that doesn’t mean that you do not get your hair trimmed. Trims are a great way to keep your hair in good health during the winter months as well – every six to eight weeks, just get a light dusting of the ends to help reduce the chance of dry, splitting ends.

These are the five hair care tips for winters based on personal experience. To protect your skin always keep a bottle of vaseline handy, you can use it in 10 different ways. Hope you find this useful too!

We unboxed the phone and tried that out. Amit told that this phone has got the dual rear camera and wide angle front lens, this helps in capturing wide angle shots which mean now you can click groupfies along with selfies.

Top Five Trends in Fusion Wear

The mixing and matching trend have taken over the fashion industry, it is no more about muted colors or patterns in accordance. And it’s just not about colors, designers are breaking the set rules of draping, styling, and matching, and it seems the era of fusing traditional with western wear has taken over the fashion industry! We take you through the hottest of the trends – fusion wear, taking over the fashion industry.

 1. Not So Basic Kurtas:

The good old kurtas have been fused with some great styles and patterns, pairing them with a contrasting colored pair of leggings or pajamas were good old ways. Now pair your Kurtis with dhotis, or else add layers to a straight kurta with a long skirt. It is sure to add more dimension and edge to your look.
Kurtas matched with trousers and palazzos are in vogue and gives a chic appeal, also you don’t compromise your comfort. I have created a fusion, where you can also wear your kurta as a dress and with appropriate accessories you can rock it!

  1. Drape it That Way:

Saree draping is an art and the kind of different draping ways fashion industry has seen over the period is amazing. One such quirky way has been trending these days, the dhoti style.

And why to limit it just to sarees, your good old scarves and stoles are can also be draped like saree to add an edgy appeal to your look. Another fusion look I created by draping a heavy dupatta as saree over black jeans. A post for this look will be up on the blog soon!

3. Skirt Effect:

Skirts have taken a plunge from wearing it just the old way to styling it with a different bodice. The trending one is with pretty crop tops, jackets, and kurtas.

Full-length skirt with a crop top is a trendy and comfortable affair, nothing too loud and nothing too low, just sheer vogue in comfort! Here I have teamed up palazzos with a tank top, added junk jewelry and carried an ethnic clutch.

4. Jacket Up!

Jackets over your kurta, spaghetti top, tank top or blouses they are just everywhere. Not just the leather or denim ones but of all. The bright and embellished jackets can be best paired with muted colored dresses; the good old leather and denim jackets can also be layered over your regular outfits.

5. Traditionally Dressed!

So, when we say traditionally dressed it doesn’t mean all that heavy dose of lehenga-chunni but the Anarkali Dresses, as they are popularly called as. Beautiful long dresses with ample lot of embellishment and work that sets you apart from the regular crowd.
